The Meraki Fifth Anniversary Edition

Welcome To
The Meraki Experience - 5 Year Anniversary Edition
“I’m not creative” is something we hear often at the beginning of a session. We understand that hesitation. Trying something unfamiliar can make any of us feel a little unsure.
What we love is watching curiosity take over. Someone experiments, a conversation begins, and people start making choices that are entirely their own. Those moments capture why we started The Meraki: to use art as a medium for creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, connection, and the joy of discovering something together.
We’re grateful to everyone who has pulled up a chair and given it a try.
The Meraki Turns Five+
Five years of The Meraki have taken us into offices, classrooms, community spaces, and healthcare settings, each bringing new people, perspectives, and possibilities. This milestone gives us a moment to look back at how much we’ve learned and how our work has grown.
We’ve helped colleagues challenge creativity together, introduced children to the possibilities of mixed media, and shared moments of calm and self expression with patients and caregivers. Along the way, we’ve developed new programs, built partnerships, and welcomed familiar faces back.
Every setting has taught us something. How to make participation easier. When to offer guidance and when to step back. How the same activity can become something entirely different in another person’s hands. Those lessons continue to shape the experiences we design.
What makes us proud is seeing these experiences become lasting relationships: an invitation to return, a participant bringing a friend, or a conversation that grows into a new collaboration.
To everyone who has been part of these five years, thank you for helping The Meraki grow. We look forward to all that we’ll create together next!!
Across Our Community: A Look at the Year So Far
This summer, our mixed-media camps in Bernards Township and Bernardsville brought young imaginations to life through mixed media. Campers explored textures, experimented with materials, and added their own ideas to every creation. We loved seeing their curiosity and confidence grow as they discovered new ways to express themselves.
Our monthly art sessions with patients and caregivers at RWJH continue to be a meaningful part of our work. Each gathering offers space to pause, create, and connect. Familiar faces and new participants bring their own stories and perspectives, reminding us how much a shared creative experience can mean.
Our team building events across New Jersey challenged us to stretch our own creativity. Each group brought different goals, personalities, and interests, inspiring us to devise fun, unique sessions that felt right for them. From collaborative art challenges to playful team activities, we loved finding fresh ways to spark conversation, encourage teamwork, and bring people together.
A Creative Twist on Your Holiday Party
The holiday party should feel like more than food, drinks, and small talk. It should bring people together, create shared memories, and end the year on a high note.
At The Meraki, we use art as a medium to make those connections happen. From collaborative murals and playful team challenges to festive individual creations, we shape each experience around your team and the celebration you have in mind. No art experience needed, just a little curiosity and a willingness to join in.
Give your team a chance to unwind, share a laugh, and create something together.
As a token of our appreciation for joining us on this creative journey, we're offering an exclusive discount of 10% on your team's first Meraki Experience. Whether it's a private event, a social art event or a session with a team outcome in mind, let's connect and create unforgettable memories and results together.
A Little Magic to Explore
A recent visit to Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens left us full of inspiration. Artist Isaiah Zagar’s whimsical world of mosaics, mirrors, bottles, and found objects offered something unexpected around every corner. We loved the layers, textures, and playful combinations, especially the way everyday objects became part of something extraordinary.
As lovers of mixed media, we came away reminded of how much possibility there is in materials we might otherwise overlook. If you’re in Philadelphia, make time for this colorful escape!
We’d Love Your Google Review
