Corporate Team Building Sessions
At The Meraki, view art as a powerful form of expression. Our sincere efforts are dedicated to enhancing collective expression within teams by engaging in artistic endeavors and enjoying shared experiences. Our team-building initiatives serve as an excellent means to inspire, encourage thinking outside conventional boundaries, bring imaginations to life, and foster genuine connections among team members. Our skilled facilitators are ready to assist your teams in creating art through diverse techniques, providing guidance at every stage. These activities are not only dynamic and collaborative but also offer a range of artistic team-building options and customizable packages.
On the team level, this collaborative effort results in a creative collage that translates the collective vision into a dynamic visual representation. Alternatively, individuals can embark on their own journey of personal and professional growth by creating individual vision boards. This immersive experience serves as a catalyst for transformation, fostering a dynamic and engaging atmosphere that not only promotes teamwork but also cultivates a shared vision and elevates communication within the group to new heights.
It showcases collaborative efforts and the spirit of unity that contributed to the team's success.
This creation utilizes a combination of visual elements such as illustrations, graphics, and images to represent the team's year in the company or the team's evolution and/or the company's evolution. It involves the visual narrative depiction of key milestones, achievements, challenges, and transformative moments experienced by the team throughout a specified period. This artistic approach provides a unique and comprehensive way to encapsulate the journey of the team or the company over time. Alternatively this can be catered to individuals alike.
This approach is suitable for anyone, no prior artistic talent or expertise is required, making it accessible to team members of all skill levels. These sessions are designed to promote a relaxed and open atmosphere, creativity, interaction, and team bonding through the shared experience of creating art.
As team members take turns contributing to the artwork, a timed structure adds an element of urgency and collaboration. This not only encourages individual creativity but also necessitates seamless teamwork as each participant builds upon the work of their colleagues.
The beauty of this exercise lies in the ever-changing nature of the artwork. As diverse perspectives and creative impulses converge, the canvas transforms dynamically, fostering an atmosphere of shared spontaneity and imaginative expression. Laughter becomes a natural accompaniment as the unexpected twists and turns of the evolving masterpiece unfold, creating moments of joy and camaraderie.
The blend of structured intervals, diverse art supplies, and the element of randomness ensures that the process remains lively and unpredictable. This not only makes the activity a source of amusement but also provides an excellent platform for team members to explore their creativity, communicate effectively, and collaborate seamlessly—all while having a great time. The resulting artwork serves as a tangible representation of the collective energy, laughter, and ingenuity woven into the fabric of the team's collaborative spirit.
There is a “taboo” element to the instructions making it challenging and equally fun. This activity promotes communication, active listening, and teamwork as participants collaborate to create an accurate representation of the object solely through verbal guidance.
This intentional grouping encourages cross-functional collaboration and allows team members to leverage each other's strengths throughout the creative process. Once the groups are formed, they are presented with a set of guidelines or parameters within which to design their artwork. These guidelines may include themes, color schemes, materials to be used, or specific artistic techniques to incorporate. By providing a framework for creativity, the guidelines help focus the teams' efforts while still allowing room for innovation and expression. Once the designs are completed, they are then shared with another group to execute. This collaborative exercise emphasizes trust, encourages teamwork, and fosters creativity as team members work together to create a cohesive piece of art.
You can add a twist of potentially completing the task blindfolded.
Participants are divided into teams, each equipped with a variety of materials suitable for sculpting, such as clay, wire, cardboard, paper, or any other suitable crafting supplies. The teams are then presented with the task of collaboratively designing and constructing a 3D art within a specified time frame.
Brainstorming, planning the design, and construction phases encourage teamwork, communication, negotiation, effective coordination and cooperation as team members collaborate to manipulate the materials. In some variations of the activity, some team members may be challenged to complete the construction process blindfolded, adding an extra layer of complexity and fostering reliance on communication and trust.
Overall, creating 3D art with or without blindfolds fosters teamwork, encourages innovation, and strengthens bonds among team members, making it a valuable addition to any group development program.
When the teams proudly present their towers to the rest of the groups, the varying designs and structures serve as a testament to the ingenuity, diverse approaches and perspectives of the participants, highlighting the power of collaboration and collective problem-solving.
By challenging teams to think on their feet, work together, and push the boundaries of their creativity, the activity fosters a sense of camaraderie and accomplishment that strengthens bonds and leaves a lasting impression on participants long after the tower has been built.
Once a theme and design concept are chosen, the mural project begins in earnest. Employees are divided into smaller teams or assigned specific roles based on their interests, skills, and availability. Some may excel at sketching or painting, while others may have experience in graphic design or project management. This is a great activity to engage large groups.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the mural serves as a powerful symbol of collaboration, creativity, and unity within the workplace. It reinforces a sense of pride and ownership among employees, as they see their collective efforts immortalized on the walls of their office. Additionally, the mural can serve as a conversation starter, sparking discussions and fostering connections among colleagues.
The “creative storytelling” workshop begins with an introduction to the power of storytelling. Participants learn about the various elements that make a compelling narrative, such as character development, plot structure, setting, and theme. The main activity of the workshop involves forming a story circle. Participants sit in a circle, and one person starts by sharing the beginning of a story. The next person in the circle then adds to the story, building upon the previous contribution. This continues until the story comes to a satisfying conclusion.
Throughout the workshop, facilitators provide prompts and encourage participants to think outside the box. This might involve introducing unconventional story elements or encouraging unexpected plot twists. The goal is to stretch participants' imagination and push them beyond their comfort zones.
